The final zodiac sign in my year-long series! It's so crazy to think I started this series nearly a year ago, when I hardly used my camera at all... Once a month, maybe? And now I use it every day. I've still got a long journey ahead, but that's what it's all about, really.
Even though this is a Zodiac sign, this piece really touches my heart on a very personal level. I lost my mother to cancer in 2003, the earth, water, rock etc..... surrounding the model is fantastic. The models expression and pose is perfect
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, but I am very happy that it touches you in such a way as that, truly. Thank you so much for your feedback and for sharing such a personal story!
I just love the way your models embrace the natural surroundings, especially water. The carefree mood is paired with something that looks like newfound safety and refuge from an unseen menace, in the safety of clean water's unstoppable flow.
I look for the toughest in my models. I don't expect them to be AS willing as I am, because for my art, I'll do a whole lot, but I try to find ones who are at least decently tough.
Cheers to you,
Jo
